A few years ago, the Keep Saginaw Beautiful Committee (KSB) began community-wide beautification projects that started with the wrapping the nine (9) traffic control signal boxes throughout the city. This project added both color and beauty to an otherwise uninteresting traffic control box.
KSB has since collaborated with local artist Erica Rosa to paint six (6) manhole covers and two (2) outflow drainage in Willow Creek Park to add art, beauty and color to otherwise uninteresting locations.
Recently, Erica painted another drainage outflow in Willow Creek Park with the assistance of Brownie Girl Scout Troup 2798. This is a great example of how citizens and communities can work together to make a difference. Together, Erica and the Keep Saginaw Beautiful Committee took very unattractive drainage outflows and manhole covers to create beautiful pieces of art.
