The Saginaw Police Department announces the retirement of Sergeant Damon Ing after dedicating 20 years of service in law enforcement and 15 years of honorable service to the citizens of Saginaw.
Sergeant Ing retired December 25, 2019. He started with the Saginaw Police Department as an Officer in January 2005 after serving several years with the Tarrant County College Police Department. During his police career he served in Patrol, Criminal Investigation, Community Services and as a Public Information Officer before promoting to Sergeant in May 2014. Sergeant Ing holds a Master Peace Officer Certification and Instructor Certification through TCOLE and was instrumental in training law enforcement professionals from around the State. Sergeant Ing obtained his Ed.D in Education in 2018 and will pursue a career as an educator after retirement.
