Elected Officials events held by the Chamber could be held in the Hollenstein Center. The event is well attended normally and would bring Saginaw into the spotlight even more.

There have been lots of tornado activity in resent months and expected to increase. With all the building and development in Saginaw, It would be a smart investment to fortify a part of our school and city buildings against such a disaster. It has been brought to my attention that there may be federal funds available for such projects.

The idea of suspended coffee is simple: When you buy a coffee or meal, you pay for a second one. The barista or waiter gives you your coffee/food, then logs the second coffee/meal as “suspended” (meaning that the transaction has been paused, or not yet completed – the money has been received, but the coffee has not yet been delivered).
When someone who can’t afford a coffee comes in, they can ask whether there are any “suspended” coffees. The barista checks the log and, if there are any pre-paid coffees, the person is given a free coffee. The transaction is then considered complete.Who is eligible? The premise is that anyone in need can seek this out. Each business will need to decide who they feel in need. I don't believe it is for us to judge who is in need and who is not. It may be a single mother, a business man who's been looking for a job for months-It's all about using your judgement and spreading a little kindness by paying it forward. Great topic for community business meeting.

Saginaw tx has fully outgrown the animal shelter. Over crowded to the point that animals are put down for lack of space. 20 yrs ago--this area provided for lost animals. The last group managing the shelter Jose Wheeland put forth the effort to keep them alive by CALLING rescue groups. NOT ANYMORE. That would be too much work. The shelter is too small and more animals are being turned out of homes because the pets food is not in the budget.PLZ do something. The new guy in charge--is rude, does not care, and should be replaced by an individual that looks to find alternatives besides euthanasia. BUILD A NEW SHELTER ALSO. Extend provision needs costs, so the shelter can take care of these lost pets. They beg online for provisions.
