Meet the Director
KEITH C. RINEHART
Director of Community & Economic Development
Keith began his professional career after graduating from college in 1992 as the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Haltom City. In 1993, his career moved to the City of Bedford where he held several positions: Athletic Coordinator (1993 to 1995); Recreation Superintendent (1995 to 1999); and Communications Director (1999 to 2004). Keith started working with the City of Saginaw as Director of Recreation in February 2004 and Director of Community Services in 2005. On February 1, 2020, Keith took on a new role of Director of Community & Economic Development as well as continuing his previous duties.
Keith’s responsibilities include the management and direction of 70+ full, part-time and seasonal staff. He manages the following divisions: Economic Development, Community Development, Animal Services, Recreation Services (aquatics, special events, recreational programs and camps, adult athletics) Senior Services, Beautification, Communications (Website, Marketing/Advertising, Social Media, Newsletters) and Janitorial Services.
