Summer Reading Club 2021
"Tails and Tales" is the theme for this year’s Summer Reading Club at the John Ed Keeter Public Library of Saginaw. The fun begins on Wednesday, June 9 and goes through Saturday, July 31 for children ages 0 to 5th grade.
We are able to host all programs in person this year, but we will also be providing select programs online. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to see fun programs from home! (Programs will be videotaped based on staff availability and performer contracts.)
We will also still be offering our fantastic take-and-make craft kits for kids. A new craft will be available each Thursday morning, and we will hand them out until supplies are gone.
READING and Activity Logs:
Every week during Summer Reading Club, you can pick up a reading bingo card at the Library. Fill out the bingo card and bring it back for a prize!
It’s ok if it takes more than a week, just make sure to bring all your cards back by July 28!
Once you get your prize, be sure to drop your bingo card in the drawing for our grand prizes. We will announce the winners at the Ending Party.
Take-and-make CRAFT KITS:
Pick up a NEW craft at the Library every Thursday (and while supplies last).
See all in-person programs in our SRC Brochure. You can pick up a paper copy at the Library.
Please call us at 817-230-0300 option 8.
Teens (completed 6th-12th grade)
will have weekly programs that include movies, gaming, animals, art and more.
Teens can read a book, ebook or comic, listen to an audiobook, or come to a program and enter drawings for prizes. Snacks are always provided for teen events.
We encourage Library users 18 and up to read this summer too! Starting June 9, get an entry into our drawings for setting a reading goal, reading a book, or reading to a child. eBooks and audiobooks count too! You choose which drawing to enter from our great prizes. The more you read, the more chances you have to win!
